Karen Glaser
Karen Glaser, a Certified Residential Specialist and Alaskan Realtor for 19 years, has joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Alaska Realty as Relocation Director. She will be overseeing relocation services for the statewide real estate franchise. Karen is an Associate Broker and past Director for the Anchorage Board of Realtors. Her specialties include both residential resale and new construction. Karen’s local market experience will serve as a valuable resource, and help to provide a smooth transition, for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices relocation clients.
Karen is Referral Channel rCertified. She is also a Veteran Certified Agent and member of the Veterans Real Estate Benefits Network (VREB). She served as a volunteer in Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson’s real estate office. Over the years Karen has volunteered for a variety of organizations including Cook Inlet Housing Authority, Hope Community Resources – working with Alaskans who experience developmental disabilities, serving as a past board member of Friends of Pets, and at schools throughout Anchorage. Karen says, “I always welcome the opportunity to share my love of Alaska with members of the community, as well as my real estate clients who are just becoming Alaskans.”
After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Gustavus Adolphus College, Karen came to Alaska in search of adventure. Now a resident of Alaska for over 35 years, Karen says, “I am still having an adventure!” Her father, a Bush Pilot, continues to fly the Alaskan skies. Karen lives in Anchorage with her two sons, both graduates of the University of Alaska, and her energetic dog, Ripley, the Springer Spaniel. Having worked in advertising and media for 20 years before finding her way to the real estate industry, Karen says, “I’m blessed to have found a profession I have so much enthusiasm for.”
